Never. Stop. Fighting.

Because Freedom Can't Protect Itself
Dear ACLU Supporter,

Time after time this year, you and the ACLU online community have demonstrated what we can do when we come together to demand our rights.

And unfolding news over the ACLU's critical lawsuit challenging NSA dragnet surveillance is a powerful reminder of why it's so critical that we keep speaking truth to power.

For all of us here at the ACLU, our motto in the face of tough challenges is never stop fighting.

And I'm betting you agree.

Act now to support critical ACLU campaigns. Your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar, doubling your impact. (Do not forward: This link will open a page with your information already filled in.)

As you probably know, a federal judge in New York dismissed our challenge to the NSA dragnet surveillance program — even though another federal judge and the president's own review group concluded last week that the National Security Agency's bulk collection of telephone data constitutes a serious invasion of Americans' privacy.

We're not giving up — in fact, as I write this, our lawyers are busy working on our appeal.

This will be a long fight. But the ACLU is used to long fights — we've been in it for long haul, with supporters like you by our side, standing up on issues that matter in people's lives — and sticking with it until we win – for over 9 decades.

We need to keep working to protect ourselves against abuse of power and to keep advancing people's freedoms. Can you make a matching gift to support our vital work in defense of civil liberties next year?

Raising our voices together, we will continue to fight to stop unwarranted and unconstitutional invasions of our privacy, at the same time that we work to demand access to contraception and abortion, to stop cynical attempts to suppress the vote and to continue remarkable progress on the freedom to marry.

We are a force to be reckoned with when we combine the power of legal and legislative advocacy, a network of 52 affiliates and hundreds of thousands of supporters.

And I can tell you first hand that supporters like you — who are willing to put in a few hours, send an email to demand action, and chip in a donation – are the glue that holds it all together.

Thank you for inspiring all of us to keep fighting,

Anthony D. Romero
Executive Director, ACLU

P.S. Remember, if you act now, your gift will be doubled thanks to our special matching fund. But, we have to hear from you before midnight tomorrow.
