AAR subsidiary Telair International has completed acquisition of cargo loading system assets of PFW Aerospace. On the other side of the ledger, AAR’s 23-million award by the US Transportation Command has been protested. TE Connectivity has introduced Raychem SolderTacts, a one-piece contact design with integrated soldering for fast terminations, well-suited to aerospace applications. Commsoft has added Nigeria’s Arik Air to OASES customers in a five-year, 30-user deal. The airline will initially use OASES to support CAMO capabilities and focus on two Airbus A330-200s. The MRO software will expand to cover Boeing 737-800s, 737-700s, Bombardier CRJ900s and Dash 8 Q400s. Taikoo Engine Services (Xiamen), a Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co. subsidiary, has completed its 100th GE90-110/115B engine overhaul, this one for Cathay Pacific Airways. The other 99 were done for 10 other airlines and GE Capital Aviation Services. TEXL does quick turns, full overhauls and component repair of the GE90 engine. KLM UK Engineering has completed the installation of new economy comfort seats on all KLM Cityhopper Fokker 70s and Embraer E-190s. Intertrade, a Rockwell Collins subsidiary, has selected Quantum Control MRO management software to manage its supply chain, synchronizing customer, service and inventory data in real-time, plus accounting and cost data for complete visibility into operations. Pratt & Whitney has opened a new facility for overhauling F100 engines on F-15s and F-16s in Columbus, Georgia. PPG Industries has relocated its application support center to Miyoshi Kurozasa Industrial Park in Japan. The larger site, near Nagoya, enables PPG Aerospace to expand capabilities in the region as Japan’s role in aerospace grows. Baltic Ground Services, an international ground handler and fueling service, has appointed Darius Aleknavicius as CEO. |
